And with this final, final page, the series “The Dream Awakens” officially concludes.

As I was drawing up these last three epilogue pages, it struck me that this is essentially (kind of, although maybe not entirely) like an “end credits” scene. Or is that the other way around? It was a lot of fun drawing these epilogue pages, circling back to the Ethereals and giving a glimpse at introducing a new one.

If you’ve read this entire introduction story arc to The Realm Ethereal comic book series, you may have observed that there’s a lot going on. And at times, it seems like there’s too much going on. I wish I could say that is intentional, but the more accurate statement is I’m an artist first, and a writer second. There’s so much color to this Realm Ethereal universe that what I drew throughout was my attempt at utilizing all of that color palette.

That’s not to say I don’t have any kind of story structure. Not the case at all. From my comic book thumbnails and spread sheets to set up my pages, I am very structured. All I’m saying is that my brain works like an artist’s. I rely much more on imagery, or perhaps linger about it more than most. It’s what got me through to finish this series right.

And I did do it right, because I had fun with it!

And for my fellow comic book lovers, indie comic fans, and all in between, I thank you for coming along on this journey.

This is only the beginning.
