I don’t have good or bad feelings about AI. I use it sometimes for my day job, but I think more and more people are anyway.

I do edit videos and am always on the lookout for new tools. I found DeeVid.ai and was able to create what you see here. All in the time span of about 2 hours or so.

I am a comic book artist, and not an animator. So I’m sure legit animators may look at this and ‘scoff’ at it or maybe ‘bah humbug’ it, or whatever. To me, it was a fun way to bring my own artwork to life for a moment.

And there in I think lies the key for me: this is all using my own original character designs and my own digital paintings that I created to make this little treat of a video. Sure, I “prompted” this, but the AI gave me an interpretation of what I wrote. Is it exactly what I had in mind? Not really. But, it took my artwork and turned it into a new thing.

But, I am a comic book artist, and so that’s where my real joy, love, and talents are best focused. Plus, it’s what I really want to do.

And to me, that’s all it is, a treat. So, I hope you enjoy.

Now, it’s time to get back to making comic books 🙂
